Gevorg Petrosyan è campione intercontinentale by A R

Gevorg Petrosyan è
campione intercontinentale.
transalpini nonchè neo campione francese classe A (ffmda).

Thailand Pinsinchai a Bologna.
fratello Armen Petrosyan a Cattolica contro Bruno Franchi (Pro fighting Rimini)
When
Muay thai takes off in Slovenia
By vdao , 30/06/2005

Slovenia is one of this Eastern European country which after having stagnated
of the years lasting start to emerge from an economic standpoint. On a strict
Muay thai standpoint, do the things start ?
The relative small size of this country, of each one of these countries resulting
from old Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia seems to be a favourable factor to
create a dynamics and an unsuspected activity on the level of the organization
of meetings.

On the picture above : slovenian promotor Marko Muzic and Drago Savic WMC
coordinator.
Saturday, June 25th it was in the small city of Gorazie (Slovenia) at 10 minutes of the ialian border which welcomed his first Muay thai tournament.
In side of this tournament, the organisators proposed a explosive fight between the French Champion in the category of 67 kg Olivier TCHETCHE (Haute Tension) and the young Armenian Gevorg PETROSIAN.
The eight fighters of
the tournament are :
Stéphane MBIDA for Swisstzerland,
Alan SAITTA for Italia,
PUPOVAC for Slovenia,
Martin ZVACHTA for Czech Republic,
PRIEST for Germany,
VALENTIC for Croatia,
and TARIK for Holland.
In this tournament, we
especially note the good performance of Marco Saita and Tarik (student in
Chakuriki and of the famous Tom Harrinck).
Even if he didnt win the tournament, Croatian Valentic convince us with
his muay thai style and with coherence of his boxing technics. In less than
81 kg, Valentic seems to be a name to followed in this geographic zone.
Lastly, we will finish by the winner of the tournament Stéphane MBIDA
who won in final by KO (against German PRIEST) after a course which does not
seem have posed him too many problems.
It was before the final
that the so expected clash between Olivier Tchétché and Georv
Petrosian began.
On paper, the young Petrosian was presented as a fighter with a good level
and having a great potential. Hes only 19 yeras old et possess a record
of 23 fights, 22 wins (13 by way of KO) and one draw that he recently concede
against Thai Thailand PISINCHAI. As opponent, he defeats names as Tawlek KORAT,
Fabio PINCA ans Mickaël LALLEMAND who are good fighters.
On the french side, Olivier is a fighter with lot of talents since several
seasons he aligns performances like last season in Aubagne against Thai Dentaksin
KETYOYOT (see his card), this season with his win in the Belgium tournament,
his recent win against Fabio Pinca and his last appearence against Thai Wannai
PONPHILA.
On paper the fight smell the pounder as one says.
Unfortunately, as its the case sometimes in fights, the fight we waiting
for does not take place.
Does he fight to much? Doesnt he got enough time to warm up as usual
(the fight which was normally schedule at the end of the meetings was held
before the final)?
Olivier Tchétché doesnt seem to succeed to enter in this
fight. And that was all good for Petrosian who jump on the occasion to adjust
his distance and start his work on sap by Tei Khaa (low kick). This first
blow with full power would be decisive in this fight because the leg of the
French was hardly hit and became useless for the rest of the fight.
Dispite this, Olivier tried to organised his defense, but with back leg against
a lefty was like make a car race without break.
Very explosive with his blows, Gevorg hit a second time, then a third time
on the back leg of Oliver who has more and more difficulty to organise his
defense.
In the next round, Tchétché received a elbow which cut his right
arcade but this wasnt a big deal. But being unable to rightly defend
himself, he prefered to stop the fight.
Too bad, we would have like to assisted to the showdown between both men.
But the fight is he fight and he could take different forms og the one expected.
Gevorg knew how to win this fight, proftiting of the opportunity he created
himself.
Congratulation Gevorg and good continuation to you on the road of Muay thai.
